The SCC offers two products for the regular automatic backup of data for different areas of application. With both products, Windows, Macintosh as well as Linux computers can be backed up.
Backup for file server and desktop computer
You want to back up standalone file servers (NAS) or desktop computers with over 1 TB of data?
For this we recommend the ISP/TSM Client. Further information can be found here.
Backup for mobile devices
Do you want to secure your laptop, especially if you use it on business trips, your workstation or your mobile device?
For this we recommend the Druva inSync Client. Further information can be found here.
- License for the required software.
- Individual advice on the backup service (commissioning and general questions).
- Users are informed about the status of the service by e-mail in certain situations.
Not included services
These rules have applied to TSM since 1 May 2006 and to Druva inSync since 1 September 2019.
- No hard disk images of the devices.
Devices that have not been backed up for 180 days will be completely deleted, including all backup data. One week before the deletion, an e-mail will be sent with a warning that the data will be deleted. If this device is the last of the user, the user will also be removed from the backup system.
If a user has not performed a backup 30 days after registration, this user will be removed from the backup system.
If the entry of a user in the Active Directory is deactivated, this user will also be disabled in the Druva inSync Server. Access to the backup data is then no longer possible. Such locked users will be removed from the Druva inSync Server - including the backup data - after 60 days.
