Welcome to Steinbuch Centre for Computing (SCC)

The Universität Karlsruhe and the Forschungszentrum Karlsruhe founded in February 2008 under the roof of the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) the Steinbuch Centre for Computing (SCC) as a joint institute. SCC results from merger of the University Computing Centre and the Institute of Scientific Computing of the Forschungszentrum and forms the new Information Technology Centre of KIT. The institutions united in SCC have been counted for decades among the most powerful computing centres in Germany and have been very successful in the field of high performance computing as well as grid computing.
