Friday, 22 March 2019, 8:00-0:00
online

A healthy software development cycle is one of the central pillars for enabling research productivity and software sustainability. In this web seminar we learn about some of the central guidelines, tools, and mechanism that promote healthy software development. The web seminar is designed as a hands-on experience where we will introduce software versioning via Git; we will learn what continuous integration is and try it out ourselves; we will introduce software documentation based on Doxygen; and learn about the concept of automated software testing, from unit testing over integration tests to end-to-end tests, and set up unit tests using the Googletest framework.
