Group management for ITB
Allows ITBs to manage the groups of their OU.
An IT-appointee (ITB) may for its organizational unit (OU):
- Create groups
- Edit groups
- Delete groups
The groups get a new group ID when they are created and keep this ID even if the name is changed
The group management is part of the admin portal (www.scc.kit.edu/sl/admin) direct access to the group management: itb.scc.kit.edu
The group administration also provides a REST API. Access to this can be set up at the request of the ITB after consultation.
The service is automatically available to all ITBs via the admin portal. A "booking" does not exist.

Access is granted only to ITBs, limited to the OUs for which they are members of the SCC-ITB-OU group. Additionally, there is a Group Administrator group for each OU, which is managed by the ITBs of the OU.
The use of a two-factor authentication (2FA) token is required to use the application.
- Create group
- With automatically generated Group ID
- Will be created in KIT-AD and KIT-LDAP
- Edit group
- Persons and groups as members possible
- Renaming possible (Group ID remains the same)
- Delete group
