Simulation Laboratories (SimLabs)

SimLabs are interface between users and operators of Supercomputers.

To better bundle the competences in scientific computing in SCC, there are Simulation Laboratories (SimLabs) are established as an advanced interface between users and operators of high performance computing. This is a integral part of the Engineering Digital Futures program of the Helmholtz Research Field Information. The main goal of SimLabs is interdisciplinary research and development, especially improve efficiency of scientific application software when using massively parallel or distributed computing systems.

In close cooperation with scientific groups SimLabs also pursue research study in field of computer driven simulations of phenomenas in natural and engineering sciences developing corresponding algorithms and tools for that. The SimLabs are focused on different application areas of high performance computing:
