IP subnets at KIT

Please consider that the private or shared IP-address ranges 172.16.0.0/12, 192.168.0.0/16 (RFC 1918) and 100.64.0.0/10 (RFC 6598) are routed at KIT. For virtualization environments like Docker please use subnets from the range 10.0.0.0/8. This prefix is not routed at KIT, so with it you avoid routing problems for your systems in KITnet. The IP address range 240.0.0.0/4 is reserved for internal use by the network department.
