The SCC provides a laptop loan service via the student support TechPoint, which offers students at KIT the opportunity to bridge defects in their own hardware at short notice. The devices can be ordered and collected from TechPoint.

General conditions

• The service is only available to students enrolled at KIT.

• A valid ID document and student ID must be presented when collecting a loaned device.

• The devices may not be used for commercial purposes.

• Maximum loan period: 1 month, can be extended if necessary.

Services included

The laptops are pre-installed with Windows 11 and Microsoft Office as well as other standard technical and scientific software.

Note - Borrowing equipment from the media center

The Media Center offers a wide range of equipment for loan to KIT students and staff. The equipment supports you with audio and video productions, the further processing of media or presentations.
