  • The Service Desk is the central contact point of the SCC for all inquiries, problem reports and requests concerning the IT services of the SCC. Requests that the SCC Service Desk cannot answer directly are forwarded via a ticket system to teams of experts within the SCC. You will be informed automatically by e-mail about the current status of your request.

Important note on access to the SCC service desk at Campus South => click

Due to a building renovation in Building 20.21, access to the building and thus to the SCC service desk at the South Campus is currently no longer possible via the main entrance to the building.
However, the SD counter can be reached via the north door (towards the castle) to the building.
In the course of these construction measures, however, the barrier-free access to the building cannot be used. If you need assistance for this reason, please contact the SCC service desk by phone: 0721-608-8000, byemailor via ourticket system.

SCC Servicedesk informs and helps you dealing with terms concerning all IT-ranges of SCC, especially questions in following areas:

  • Acceptance of questions, wishes and fault indications coming from KIT 'IT-Beauftragte', KIT-coworkers and KIT-students
  • Consulting KIT 'IT-Beauftragte', KIT-coworkers and KIT-students concerning themes like:
    • Activation and management of KIT-Accounts (selfservice portal) and related things
    • Generell aspects concerning Print- and Plot at SCC
    • Mail-configuration
    • Data-storage and -transfer             
      ​​​and many more themes

Management of KIT-accounts by SCC Servicedesk:

  • password management (change and reset of passwords for KIT-coworkers and -students)
  • locking of KIT-accounts
  • acceptance and administartion of applications allowing to access High Performace Computing machines
  • management of special accounts you need to take part on courses running in the SCC-poolrooms trainingrooms)
  • registering  of KIT-service- administration accounts
  • Acception of certification application forms (KIT-CA) and personality check
  • Organisation of handing out data information of data from former fzk- and university-fileserver
