Print & Plot - Central printing service

Students and employees of the KIT can print A4 and A3 documents as well as large formats up to 899 mm short edge.

Service description
General information
Print orders can be sent around the clock (24/7). Print output only takes place during Print & Plot's opening hours! In certain cases, there may be delays in output.
Students can only use the central large format printers on the South Campus.
This service may not be available during the maintenance times specified by the SCC.
Advice
The Print & Plot HelpDesk provides support with technical questions and problems; advice on design aspects cannot be provided.

Organizational requirements
- KIT user account of the type ab1234 or uabcd.
- Authorization to use the central printers of Print & Plot (automatic for students and KIT employees). For "Guest & Partner" accounts only in consultation with the management of the respective institution and subsequent activation by the ITB (IT representative).
- Students must pay in advance without cash ("P&P" printing account) ↔ KIT-Card system.
- Price list of the current printing costs
Technical requirements
- Standard PC (standard software and network connection) → Service B
- A3/A4 documents can be sent directly from the application (direct printing) under Apple macOS and Windows after setting up the central printer.
- A3/A4 PDF and PS documents can also be sent via browser using webPRINT to the central printers.
- Large formats can only be uploaded to the large format printers as single-sided PDFs and only via webPRINT!
