My focus is on mathematics teaching methodology and the development of teaching and learning materials to make the applications of mathematics accessible and relatable to students. Specifically, I am interested in the mathematical background of machine learning with artificial neural networks. The aim is to develop learning paths with different areas of focus in order to address the respective basic mathematical concepts and questions of the learners.

At the same time, I work as a mathematics and chemistry teacher at the Goethe-Gymnasium Karlsruhe.
