SCC ChatBot

The SCC chatbot is a service on the SCC website that offers students and employees digital support around the clock. The aim is to relieve the burden on IT support and at the same time ensure fast, individual help with typical IT queries.

General information
The AI ChatBot enables context-related queries - including queries about our services. It also searches internal documents (e.g. PDF files such as instructions and documentation) and provides source references - anonymously, GDPR-compliant and available around the clock.
The focus is on information about the SCC's IT services. The SCC websites and relevant web portals are therefore integrated into the knowledge repository. The digital assistant also knows all the general content and helps you to quickly find the relevant information without having to navigate through the extensive website. The answers contain direct links to sources that direct you to the relevant pages.
The ChatBot supplements the IT support as quick help directly on the website. If it gets stuck, the Service Desk team will be there for you in person as usual.
Note: With AI-supported systems such as ChatBots, the correctness of the answers cannot always be guaranteed. Therefore, please also rate the answers with the thumbs up 👍 or thumbs down 👎 symbols.
Services not included
- The ChatBot cannot currently be viewed by IT support teams or the SCC Service Desk to answer a question. To do this, users must involve their IT representatives or open a case, for example in the SCC ticket system.
- The requests are only saved in the respective browser session and cannot be assigned to the user.
- The ChatBot only searches SCC-relevant pages and information. No information from other KIT service units or information from the KIT intranet is collected.
Terms of use, data storage, technology
A link at the bottom right of the ChatBot interface takes you to the terms of use and further information on the handling of data, data storage and the technology used.
Test phase, feedback
The ChatBot is currently still in a test or learning phase, so the answers may occasionally be incorrect or incomplete. Please rate the answers with thumbs up 👍 or thumbs down 👎. More detailed feedback is possible via the feedback function by e-mail (bottom right-hand corner of the ChatBot interface).
