The iMagine project is a Horizon Europe initiative focused on developing a robust, AI-powered image analysis platform to support marine and freshwater research. By integrating with European Open Science Cloud (EOSC) services, the platform enables scientists to access FAIR image datasets and AI-based processing tools, improving environmental monitoring, species identification, and pollution tracking across aquatic systems.

The Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) plays a key role in the technical development of the platform. It contributes expertise in scientific computing and AI, helping build the infrastructure that supports scalable image analysis workflows. KIT also works closely with other partners to ensure these tools are reliable, reusable, and accessible to the research community.
