IOR - Information Systems for Organization and Business Resources

The Department of Information Systems for Organization and Operational Resources (IOR) operates KIT’s SAP system landscape and the SCC Service Desk. In addition, IOR serves as the point of contact for cross-departmental IT service management at the SCC and continues to develop the associated processes.

KIT’s SAP system landscape includes the User Portal (UP), the SAP ERP system with modules for financial accounting (FI/CO/PSM), logistics (MM/SD), human resources (HCM), and infrastructure in the broader sense (PM/PP/PS), as well as SAP BW for cross-organizational reporting. In addition, add-ons are operated to support various administrative processes (e.g., for digital invoice processing), as well as interfaces to non-SAP systems. The department works closely with the business units that are technically responsible for the SAP modules.

The SCC Service Desk is the central point of contact for questions, issues, and concerns regarding the SCC’s IT services. Inquiries that the SCC Service Desk cannot handle directly are forwarded to the appropriate specialist teams.
