Im Projekt RADAR wird ein entsprechender Service aufgebaut, der in erster Linie Forschenden, Institutionen und Verlagen eine Infrastruktur für die Archivierung und Publikation von Forschungsdaten bietet.

RADAR - Research Data Repositorium

To guarantee reproducibility and authenticity of scientific results, research data must be available long term. Long term available data also enables further research. The long-term preservation of data and the necessary data management is a major challenge for universities and other research institutions. Often scientific communities that produce small amounts of data lack a suitable data preservation infrastructure.

In the RADAR project, a corresponding service is set up, which provides an infrastructure for archiving and publication of research data, primarily for researchers, institutions and publishers. In the long run the service will be operated on a pay per use basis.

RADAR is funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG) with project partners FIZ Karlsruhe - Leibniz Institute for Information Infrastructure, the Technical Information Library (TIB) in Hanover, the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich (LMU) and the Leibniz Institute of Plant Biochemistry (IPB) in Halle.
