SimLab@KIT Workshop, November 29-30, Karlsruhe, Germany

Workshop for HPC Users at KIT and beyond

In order to bundle the competences in scientific computing, SCC has established special simulation laboratories (SimLabs) as a novel interface between users and operators. Topically they are oriented to the KIT Centres Energy, NanoMicro, Elementary Particle and Astroparticle Physics as well as Climate and Environment.

Topics

  • Introduction to SimLabs at KIT and Jülich Supercomputing Centre(JSC)
  • HPC Facilities in KIT, JSC and Gauss Centre for Supercomputing
  • Scientific activities within SimLabs and beyond:
    • Porting of applications to HPC infrastructures
    • Numeric solutions
    • Parallelisation of codes
    • Optimisation of applications
    • Use of GPUs

Venue

Workshop will take place in Karlsruhe Institute of Technology Campus South, Main Auditorium (Audimax) and Seminar Rooms A+B. Building 30.95 Location on city map
